Now for my characters. Kaiwawo (a Tauren) and Jayn (a Troll).

Is your character known by a nickname? Is there a reason why they received the name they did?

KAIWAWO TANGATA: No nicknames other than "Kai" for short. Her name means 'protector of the land' (in Maori, >_>). Her parents chose it when she was born.

JAYN: Some people might call her names behind her back, but nothing official.  She simply goes by Jayn, having dropped her family name as she wants nothing to do with them.

Does your character prefer Common/Orcish or its racial language? Does it know Common/Orcish well, if at all?

KAI: She prefers Taurhae, but speaks Orcish whenever there are non-Tauren around out of courtesy.

JAYN: Jayn could care less.


Where is your character from? Why did that character leave that place? Why did your character become an adventurer?
(to make a long story short...)

KAI: Her family has lived in a quiet corner of Mulgore for generations and is against involvement in larger things. Kai left against their wishes because she was bored out of her mind. She does visit, however, and enjoys telling the little ones about her adventures - when her elders aren't watching, that is.

JAYN: Remember that Dan Ankroyd line from SNL, "Jane, you ignorant slut"? Jayn's bloodscalp family sought refuge with the Darkspear during the last war. At sixteen, Jayn began having an affair with the local Darkspear chief. As you may have noticed, Troll buildings aren't designed with privacy in mind. They were found out and the chief immediately claimed that Jayn had hexed him with voodoo. Jayn's family, not wanting to threaten their sanctuary with the darkspear, didn't lift a finger as she was run out of the village.

Does your character have a disability? Is it lame? Does it stutter? Does it hiss? Does it see well?

KAI: A picture of health.

JAYN: She has a Trollish accent, but that's it.

How old is your character?

KAI: Early 20's human equivalent.

JAYN: 18 or 19 human equivalent.

Does your character hate the opposite faction? Does your character hate civillians from the opposite faction?

KAI: The only creatures Kai hates are demons. She longs for peace between Horde and Alliance, and won't attack an alliance member unless they threaten her, a friend, or horde lands.

JAYN: She doesn't -hate- the alliance, she just finds them annoying, arrogant, ugly, and fun to fight, or at least tease.

Why did your character chose the path they did (class)?
KAI: (Enhancement Shaman) When Kai began wandering, she was rescued from a Kodo stampede by a shaman. She was so impressed that she decided she wanted to learn do do the same.

JAYN: (Arms/Fury Warrior): Because she likes to break shit.

Is your character sane? Are they passionate about life? Are they melancholic? Do they hate their life?

KAI: She has, perhaps, an unhealthy love of dragons that often gets her visits from the spirit healer, but is otherwise a balanced and viceless person. She is definitely cheerful.

JAYN: Jayn is a carefree, impuslive hedonist, but otherwise sane. She drinks a lot, but only during downtime. She is prone to anger at times, but is a silly, happy person.

(I don't know why someone would want to play a melancholy character, but there's certainly no shortage of them.)

Is your character homosexual? Asexual? Bisexual? Pansexual?

KAI: She is much more interested in adventure than the secks, but I imagine her as straight and probably wanting babies some day. (zomg baby taurens *splodefromcute*)

JAYN: Her orientation is, I suppose, "not picky." She assertively seeks out casual sex while avoiding any romantic involvement. (I don't have her bonking other player characters, it's just understood that she always has someone on line. Jayn prefers males, but I doubt she'd turn down a woman, all other factors being agreeable.
